Relaxin Jailbreak

Guide · updated 29 July 2026

How to prepare your iPhone for a future jailbreak

Your device is not supported by Relaxin today — wrong chip, or an iOS version outside 17.0 – 17.3.1. That is not the end of the road. A few habits now keep you ready for the next tool.

1. Stop updating iOS immediately

This is the single most important thing, and the one most people get wrong. Jailbreaks target older firmware — by the time a tool is public, Apple has usually patched the newest versions. Every update you install moves you further from a jailbreakable state, and iOS updates are one-way: Apple stops signing old versions within days, so you cannot go back.

Turn automatic updates off now:

  • Settings → General → Software Update → Automatic Updates
  • Switch off both Download iOS Updates and Install iOS Updates.
  • If a "prepare update" banner keeps nagging, delete the downloaded update in Settings → General → iPhone Storage.

2. Save your SHSH blobs

SHSH blobs are small signing files unique to your device and iOS version. In some situations they let you restore to a firmware Apple no longer signs — which can mean the difference between catching a jailbreak and missing it forever. Saving them while your current version is still signed costs nothing and can only help. Tools like blobsaver (desktop) archive them automatically.

3. Keep a spare device on older firmware

If you have an old iPhone in a drawer, this is its job now. Leave it on the lowest iOS it will run, never update it, and you have a device that is ready the moment a matching jailbreak appears. Many long-time users keep one "jailbreak phone" and one daily driver for exactly this reason.

4. Know a real release from a fake one

The gap between "unsupported" and "a tool exists" is prime hunting season for scams. Protect yourself:

  • No web page can jailbreak your phone by itself. A real jailbreak is an app you install and run. Anything that claims to jailbreak you from a browser is fake.
  • Nobody legitimate needs your Apple ID password to jailbreak your device. Ever.
  • Real releases come from named developers with a track record, not anonymous "free jailbreak" pages behind survey walls.
  • Check our compatibility checker and the home page — when Relaxin is genuinely out, the download turns on here, and we say so plainly.

5. What you can do without a jailbreak

While you wait, sideloading still works on any supported iOS: you can install IPAs with your own Apple ID using tools like AltStore or Sideloadly, no jailbreak required. It is not the same as a jailbreak, but it covers a lot of what people actually want.

Bookmark the compatibility checker. When a jailbreak lands for your device, it will tell you — and the install guide will already be written.
